Margarita Vladimirovna Levieva was born in (then) Leningrad, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union, on 9 February 1980, so her zodiac sign is Aquarius, and she now holds Russian and American nationality. She is an actress and a dancer, probably best known for portraying Abigail Parker in the drama series “The Deuce” which starred James Franco, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Lawrence Gilliard Jr. and which follows the life in New York City during the ‘70s and ’80 when prostitutes and porn were all over Manhattan. The show aired from 2017 to 2019 and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award among 15 others.
Childhood and education
Margarita was raised alongside her twin brother Michael in what has today reverted to its original name of St. Petersburg, by their mother who was struggling to raise the two, as it’s believed that Margarita’s father left the family shortly after she and her brother were born. She began practicing rhythmic gymnastics when she was three, and after turning 11, Margarita and her brother and mother moved to the US. Although Margarita planned on studying dance at LaGuardia High School and was accepted, she eventually decided to enroll at a public school in Secaucus in New Jersey.
She started working as a fashion buyer during her final year at high school, and then enrolled at New York University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both psychology and economics in 2002. She has also completed William Esper Studio’s Meisner Acting Program.

She continued to work as a fashion buyer for Assets London before making her debut film appearance in the short movie “Billy’s Choice” in 2004, followed by her appearances in the video “English” in 2005, and the drama film “David’s Apartment” in 2007, in which she portrayed Deedee.
