Early life and education
Ojani was raised a single child in Cuba by his father, who was a factory worker, and his mother who was a tailor. He attended an elementary school, where he played soccer and ran track, but upon finishing eighth grade, his family decided to move to the USA. He began attending a public high school there, continuing to play soccer as well as starting to play football, and his parents found new jobs while his mother also began attending college.

Ojani was interested in acting, becoming a member of the school’s drama club, and appearing in most of the school plays. Upon matriculation in 1992, he didn’t enroll at college, but started working, while occasionally making cameo appearances in TV series and movies.
Career as an actor
Ojani started his career by working in a couple of restaurants as a waiter, before eventually becoming a chef. He launched his acting career in 1999, but only gained recognition after he appeared in the drama film “Rappin-n-Rhyming” in 2002, which starred Tami Adrian George, Todd Ryan and Nicole Pulliam and follows the story of several kids living in a crowded city who, after being given a choice, decide to go to a preparatory school instead of being sent to jail.
His next noticeable appearance was in the crime drama film “Vendetta: No Conscience, No Mercy” – also known as “Irish Eyes” – in 2004, which starred Daniel Baldwin and John Novak and follows two brothers born in Ireland now living in the US, who were raised in a working-class family.
He appeared in the biographical movie “Eye See Me” in 2007 which has a good rating of 7.7/10 on the IMDb movie and TV series rating website – the film starred Charlon Jeffery and Matthew Alexander, and follows a bounty hunter working for the government, who is chasing a wanted criminal while simultaneously learning a lot about himself.
Ojani is mostly known for appearing in the third season of the series “Supervivientes” called “Perdidos en el Caribe” in 2008, which was not as popular as its second season “Perdidos en el Honduras”. He played a lead role, but the season was not much liked by the audience.

Ojani met his now ex-wife Jennifer Lopez while he was working at a restaurant in Miami Beach in Florida as a waiter, he asked for her phone number as she was leaving the restaurant, and the two went on a date several weeks later. They married on 22 February 1997 but they divorced on 1 June 1998 due to what appears to be jealousy issues because of Jennifer’s success in the film industry.
After the divorce was finalized, Ojani threatened Jennifer with publishing their homemade footages, asking for $5 million from her. She decided to press charges against him, and the court decided in her favor, ordering Ojani to pay half a million dollars, and stating that he would be sent to jail if he published any of the material which features Jennifer in it. Ojani seems to have been single since his split from Jennifer – he hasn’t married, and has no children.

Ojani enjoys spending his free time working out at a local gym in Miami, having five to six training sessions each week, while he also enjoys working out outdoors, and going for a run. He also plays a variety of sports, and has been doing martial arts since he was 15.
