Connor Paolo was born in New York City, USA, on 11 July 1990 – his zodiac sign is Cancer and he holds American nationality. He is an actor who might be known best for his portrayal of Eric van der Woodsen in the critically acclaimed romantic drama series “Gossip Girl”, created by Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz, and which aired from 2007 to 2012. Childhood and education

Connor was raised an only child in New York City by his Jewish parents Colin Paolo, who is a screenwriter, and Julia Mendelsohn who is a pianist and a vocal coach.

Connor became interested in acting at an early age, and after turning 16 he enrolled at the Professional Performing Arts School, at the same time as future famous actors Paul Iacono and Sarah Hyland. Connor made his debut film appearance in the 2003 mystery crime drama “Mystic River” directed by Clint Eastwood, and which starred Sean Penn, Kevin Bacon and Tim Robbins – the film follows three friends and a family tragedy that happened to one of them. It was a huge success, winning 57 awards including two Oscars, while it was nominated for 143 other awards.

In 2004, Connor played Young Alexander in the biographical action drama “Alexander” which is about the life of the King of Macedonia, then in 2006 he was Steven McLoughlin in the historical thriller drama “World Trade Center”, which received mixed reviews but Connor was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film – Supporting Young Actor, so far his only award nomination.
