Early life and education
Samantha was raised in Sacramento an only child by her father who was a lawyer, and her mother who was an insurance agent; and who urged her to focus on her education and obtain a college degree.
Samantha became interested in modelling while attending elementary school, and also played various sports and followed a strict diet at high school, just to get ready for her career as a model. She matriculated in 1987 and then moved to Los Angeles to enroll at the University of California, Los Angeles. She simultaneously studied and worked as a model, and after appearing in her first commercials, one of which was shown at a Super Bowl, Samantha was noticed by an acting scout, and she got to launch her acting career, dropping out of college as soon as she won her first role.

The two married in a private ceremony attended by their closest friends and family in 2008 – the exact date of the wedding has been kept a secret, and no one from the media was allowed to attend. Cory is a non-celebrity man who prefers to stay away from the spotlight, which is why nothing about him is known. Two years after they exchanged vows, Samantha gave birth to their son, and there are rumors circulating the internet that the boy is already interested in acting, and has starred in several school plays.
