Where is Kristin Minter Today? What is she doing now?
Well, we haven’t seen Kristin for a while now as her last on-screen appearance was in the 2018 television movie “Deadly Shores”, in which she portrayed Mrs. Argyle, also starring Carly Schroeder and Phillip P. Keene, but the thriller film didn’t reach its expectations. However, she is working on a few projects, including the drama film “7th Secret”, which will star the famous musician Joan Jett among others, and the horror mystery film “Don’t Look There”, with Natalie Alyn Lind, Emmanuelle Vaugier, and Kirk Acevedo in the lead roles.
Neither film has a set release dates – “7th Secret” is now in post-production, while the aforementioned horror is in pre-production.
Wiki- Age, Childhood, and Education
Kristin Minter was born on the 22nd November 1965, in Miami, Florida USA; she is the daughter of Charlie Minter, a financial firm executive and his wife, Dottie, a horse trainer. She spent her childhood in Yardley, Pennsylvania with her three brothers. Before pursuing acting, she did a few modeling gigs, mostly around Europe, however, once she returned to the states, she began looking for acting work.
Career Beginnings and Immediate Success
She enrolled at Philadelphia College of Arts where she studied dance, but after a foot injury she moved to LA to chase modeling again, but then enrolled into acting classes, and after a few commercials, secured her on-screen debut; cast as Sheila in the TV series “The Outsiders” (1990), she was amidst Hollywood talents such as Billy Bob Thornton and David Arquette. She felt she wasn’t good enough, but got high praise for her work, and after advice from Jeff Goldblum, she started attending Meisner acting classes four times a week.
This resulted in new auditions and natural roles; she was chosen for the part of Heather in “Home Alone”, and became friends with the entire Caulkin family, especially Macaulay.
She continued her career successfully, featuring in such films as “Cool as Ice”, co-starring alongside Vanilla Ice, then appearing in the film “Passed Away” in 1992, while in 1994 she starred in the action thriller film “Flashfire”, and in 1995 she had the part of Randi Fronczak in the Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Award-winning series “ER”.
Kristin featured in 71 episodes of the popular series until 2003, which really launched her to stardom.
Career Decline
Kristin enjoyed her best career years in the ‘90s, struggling somewhat to find new, successful roles with the start of the new millennium. The early 2000s were very hard on her as she would appear only in a few B-production films, including “The Gray in Between” in 2002.
She made a few guest-starring appearances in series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (2006), “Dirt” (2007), and “Nip/Tuck” in 2009, then returned to the big screen with the part of Cynthia in the fantasy-drama series “What If…” in 2010, in which she had a co-starring role with Kevin Sorbo, Kristy Swanson, and John Ratzenberger. Her career resurged in the second half of the 2010s, as she was the mother in the film “Liza, Liza, Skies Are Grey” in 2015, and played Captain Scott in the film “Dirty”, while in 2017 she had a notable appearance as Ms. Dobson, a struggling drug addict in the TV series “This Is Us”.
