His next project became his biggest success in his career so far, selected for the part of Billy, an eight-year-old boy who goes on an adventure with his 86 year old grandfather, in the film “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa”. Teaming up once again with Johnny Knoxville, who also wrote the screenplay, they face several comic situations along their trip, including Billy dressing up as a little girl.
During the audition, they thought that Jackson would say no to this, and that they would have to look for a new child for the starring role, but the young man put on his best work, and the film became a complete success. Jackson and Knoxville shared the nomination for the Best WTF Moment by MTV Movie Awards, and the film also received an Academy Award nomination.
After “Bad Grandpa”, Jackson continued his career with the role of Wendell in the comedy film “Staten Island Summer” and a minor role in the TV series “Another Period”, both in 2015.
The following year he featured in the TV comedy series “Still the King”, since when he’s only appeared in the film “The Book of Henry” (2017).
