Andrew Koji is an English actor, martial artist, and stuntman, who has gained fame as the lead character Ah Sahm in the action crime-drama series “Warrior” (2019-2020). He is also known as Andrew in the TV horror drama mystery series “The Innocents” (2018), among other roles he has had during his career.

Born Andrew Julian Horaki Koji was born in 1987 in Epsom, Surrey England; his exact birth date is unknown in the media.
He was raised by a single mother as his parents divorced when he was still just a child; his mother was one of the factors why he wanted to succeed and become rich, as he didn’t want to see her struggling her whole life. Of Japanese ancestry from his father’s side, this inspired him to start training in mixed martial arts, in addition to also being interested in acting, and he trained at the Actors’ Temple Studio in London.
While in his teenage years, Andrew started appearing as an extra, and also making his own short films. When he turned 18 he moved to Thailand and started focusing on martial arts.
He would do some small jobs while working on films, and after a while he moved to Japan and was involved in movies both in front of and behind the camera. He continued with minor roles, portraying gangsters and mixed martial artists, appearing in short films and TV series such as “A Situation” (2013), then “The Wrong Man” (2013), and “Hollow” (2014), while in 2015 he featured in the drama mystery film “Luck”. After a few more unremarkable appearances, Andrew was chosen for the role of Ah Sahm in the TV series “Warrior”. At first he didn’t even want to audition, but on his mother’s suggestion as well as help, he made a videotape and sent it to the studio. He was announced as the lead character of the series “Warrior” in October 2017, and the series premiered in 2019, since when Andrew has become a major Hollywood star too.
Also in 2019, Andrew appeared in the series “American Gods” and “Peaky Blinders”, and is currently working on several projects including the short comedy film “Sandwich”, and will portray the lead character in the sci-fi action-adventure film “Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins”, scheduled for release in October 2020.
