Shauna Robertson was born in Markham, Ontario, Canada, on 18 December 1974 – her zodiac sign is Sagittarius and she holds Canadian nationality. She is a film producer, but probably better known to the public as the wife of American actor Edward Norton.
Early life and education
Shauna was raised alongside her two sisters in Markham by their father who was a hand-gliding instructor, and their mother who was a yoga instructor; both parents were lazy and irresponsible people, which led to Shauna becoming an organized person as she often had to tidy things up around the house.
She attended a local high school where she became interested in acting and later in producing movies, and at the age of 16 with her parents’ permission, she quit school and moved alone to Los Angeles in California, USA to pursue her dream of becoming a producer.
Upon arriving in LA, Shauna took a variety of jobs to financially support herself, meanwhile trying to launch her career.
Career as a film producer
Shauna’s first ‘real’ job was when she worked for the award-winning film director and producer Mike Binder as his assistant, after the two met at Camp Tamakwa. Mike went on to produce the comedy film “Indian Summer” in 1993, which is about the camp and their meeting.
Shortly afterwards, Shauna met Edward Norton and they started dating. After five years of being together, in 2011 Edward proposed to Shauna and they married at a small ceremony in April 2012, attended by only the two’s closest friends and family. They are now living together in Los Angeles with their son Atlas Norton.
Before Shauna, Edward was in a brief relationship with the actress Courtney Michelle Love in 1996, and helped her get close to her daughter Frances Bean Cobain. In 1999, Edward began dating Salma Hayek, a famous Mexican-American actress and film producer, and they were together until 2003.
