Carly was raised in Florida alongside her younger brother, by their father who was a theatre actor and their mother who was a real estate agent.
She became interested in acting while attending high school, and appeared in several plays performed there, while she also became interested in creative writing around the same time.

Carly and Daniel met in 2010 on the set of “Tosh.0”, and only days later Daniel asked her out on a date. The two were quite open about their relationship, and could often have been seen spending time together at the movies, a local theatre and local restaurants. His family moved to Titusville in Florida not long after he was born – he was raised by his father who was a Presbyterian minister and his mother who was a housewife, with his two sisters and a brother. Daniel attended Astronaut High School from which he matriculated in 1993, and then enrolled at the University of Central Florida, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing in December 1996.
Daniel started working at Central Florida Research Park as their telemarketer not long after graduation, but then chose to move to Los Angeles to focus on his career as a comedian.
