Childhood and education
Renee was raised alongside her younger sister Monika, in New York City by their Italian father who is an accountant, and their American mother of Irish descent who is a nurse. Renee grew up being interested in acting, as she often watched movies and TV series with her mother – she was only six when she appeared in a commercial for Dannon yogurt. When she enrolled at Patchogue-Medford High School, she immediately joined the school’s drama club, later being voted by her peers the person ‘Most Likely to Win an Oscar’.
Upon matriculation, she enrolled at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and history.
She then continued to develop her acting skills at the famous Lee Strasbourg Institute and the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory.
Roles in TV series and other works
She launched her career by appearing in theatre plays, with her first being “Wildflower”.
Renee made her debut TV series appearance when she portrayed an Auditioner in the episode “I Can’t Believe I’m BritGirl16!” in the teen drama “Viralcom” in 2008. In 2015, she was a contestant in the game show “The Price is Right”, while her most recent appearance in a TV series has been in 2017, in the episode “A Cricket’s Tale” of the sitcom “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” in which she portrayed Belle.
In 2012, Renee and her friend started working on a children’s book series entitled “Hugo” after her French bulldog, but it doesn’t appear that the book has been finished.

Renee was invited to star in the drama film “The Wyoming Story” in 2010 as Dinah Thorpe, but the pilot scene wasn’t picked up by any studio, thus stopping any work on it.
Her debut film appearance happened in 2011 when she portrayed Missy in the drama film “Detachment”, which starred Adrien Brody, Christina Hendricks and Marcia Gay Harden. The story follows a substitute teacher who is trying to develop a connection between teachers and their students.
In 2014, Renee was invited to play a supporting role in the drama mystery thriller film “Nanny Cam”, which starred India Eisley, Laura Allen and Cam Gigandet and which follows a perfect couple and their eight year-old daughter, and an evil babysitter who is threatening to destroy the family. In the same year, Renee appeared in the short science fiction film “Code Academy”, and in the comedy drama movie “That Thing with the Cat”.
In 2015 she starred in the action thriller movie “Baby”, which also starred Akshay Kumar and Danny Denzongpa and which follows a team of counter-intelligence soldiers who have to stop terrorists from destroying India.
The year 2017 saw Renee become famous after she portrayed Beck in the comedy film “The Relationtrip”, which also starred Matt Bush and Nelson Franklin, and which is about two friends who don’t want to be in a relationship as all of their other friends, and who go on a ‘friendly’ trip together only to fall in love. Renee also served as the movie’s executive producer, director and script writer – for her performance,she won a Dallas International Film Festival Grand Jury Prize for Narrative Feature Competition and was nominated for a Nashville Film Festival’s Grand Jury Prize and two SXSW Film Festival Awards.
Her latest role in a film has been in the sequel “That Thing with the Cat!” in 2017, in which she portrayed the lead character Emma.

Renee met her boyfriend Cristopher Gabriel while attending high school, and they started dating shortly before matriculation. They have been together for over 17 years now – a rumor has it that the two married sometime in the 2010s, but this hasn’t been confirmed by either Renee or Cristopher. They don’t talk about their relationship in public, but Renee often uploads pictures of them together onto her Instagram account.
After some of Renee’s fans noticed that her stomach was rather bigger than usual, they began spreading rumors around the internet about the popular actress being pregnant.
