After that series ended, she landed the role of Kristen Yarnell in the 1995 western film “Gunfighter’s Moon”, written and directed by Larry Ferguson. In the following year, Nikki appeared in the CBS biographical drama film “Never Give Up: The Jimmy V Story”, which is based on the life of Jimmy Valvano. After guest-starring as Jessica Curtis in the episode “Mayday” of the CBS action crime series “Walker, Texas Ranger”, Nikki played Kate in Jack N. Green’s crime drama “Traveller”, both in 1997.
