She was part of the Phi Mu sorority during her years in university.

Career

Politics

After graduating, she worked as a Republican staff assistant in the US House of Representatives. Her hard work meant that in 2010 she got to work on the National Republican Congressional Committee, and two years later during the election campaign, when she was the communications director for the Republican representative, Sandy Adams in 2012. She worked for Sandy’s re-election campaign from 2011 to 2012, and even though the November 2012 election was lost, Lisa gained experience and a strong reputation.

She was a then spokeswoman for the Senate campaign of Tommy Thompson, and afterwards, also worked with well-renowned politicians such as Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito and Congressman Mark Meadows. In 2014, she was invited to work as the senior director at for a global investment management co-operation, the Black Rock Group during the election campaign. She was also a consultant on Dan Sullivan’s Senate race, including developing communication strategies for politicians. She became vice president of public affairs research at WPA Research and political polling in 2015, which involved working with various politicians from around the country.

She was a contributing writer from 2016 to 2017 for “The Washington Examiner,” “The Hill” and “The Washington Times.” She is the president and founder of the public communications and political affairs firm, High Noon Strategies, which works intimately with Fortune 500 companies to provide political consultations and strategies. Fox News

She began working for the Fox News Channel in October 2016, starting as a network contributor, with her duties including political commentary and analysis in the FNC primetime and daytime programs.

Since her start on the network, Lisa has appeared in various Fox shows and has filled in for hosts during several segments. On 6 August 2017, Fox News announced that Lisa would stand-in for Eric Bolling on their show “Specialists,”, but in September 2017 they announced the show’s cancellation, after Eric’s departure from the network.

She occasionally co-hosts “The Five” and “Outnumbered,” is often a guest on “The Story” and a panelist on “Special Report,’ all of which are aired on the Fox News Channel.

Personal life

She is a secretive person and likes to keep her personal life private.

She is reportedly in a relationship with John Bourbonia Cummins; the rumors came after John posted a comment on one of Lisa’s pictures on Facebook, actually a slightly sarcastic comment, thanking her for cropping him out of the photo. In response, she replied, ‘Love you. Mean it.’

Bella Marie Boothe is her Cavalier King Charles dog.

She is open and proud about being a Republican, and is quick to defend her stand-point and beliefs. In an April 2017 issue of the “Washington Examiner,” Lisa wrote, ‘The body count is piling up, and it is time to fight back. We have seen the Left stop at nothing to systematically destroy the lives of the people they disagree with… And while the Right should never engage in the violent tactics of the Left, they should also never allow their voices to be stifled.’

She hasn’t been afraid to defend American President Donald Trump; one such instance was when he reportedly met with a Russian lawyer who allegedly promised to provide Trump with incriminating information against Hillary Clinton.

Recently, she defended President Trump when he was accused of being anti-American by singer, Bruce Springsteen. On “The Story,” she said, ‘I think being president of the United States is about as American as it gets, especially for a guy who gave up his cushy lifestyle as a billionaire to decide to run for president… So I think President Trump loves this country.’

Due to her blatant openness regarding her political standing, she is involved in a lot of controversies, and regularly accuses the media of liberal bias, feeling that the majority of journalists have liberal inclinations. After President Trump’s inauguration, she shared on Fox News that she thinks he has ‘exposed the media as largely partisan.’

On 14 July 2017, while on air on Fox News’s “The Five,” she insulted Hillary Clinton by claiming that Hillary is so desperate to become the president, that she would sell her daughter if it ensured her win.

Her statement got even more attention when Hillary’s daughter replied to it via a tweet and said, ‘No, she wouldn’t. I’ve never doubted & always known I was the most important part of her life. Now, as a mom, I’m even more grateful to my mom.’

Hobbies, favorite things and interesting facts

In high school, she played lacrosse and field hockey, and won two state championship rings. In her senior year of high school, she was the captain of their lacrosse team. She required reconstructive surgery after tearing her anterior cruciate ligament while playing, an injury which capped any thought of pursuing a career in sports, so she turned her attention to her academics.

Appearance

She has blonde hair and hazel brown eyes. She is 5ft 2in (1.57m) tall, weighs around 120lbs (55kgs), and her vital statistics are 35-25-35.

Beth McLeod was born Elizabeth Heather Henningsen on 31 March 1965, in Bay Village, Ohio USA, to parents Richard Henningsen and Martha Ann Henningsen. Her family lived in her hometown until Beth was in 1st grade, then moved to Detroit due to her father working for Detroit Diesel at that time, and she spent most of her childhood there.

Education

She matriculated from Northville High School in Northville, Michigan, and graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. Later on, she was completed a Master’s degree in Meteorology at Mississippi State University.

Career

Her first television job was at CBS Sports in New York, but she then worked at WDIV in Detroit, Michigan for over 17 years. Aside from covering traffic news for the station from 1995 to 2008, she was one of the hosts of Michigan Lottery, giving out the lucky winning numbers during the daily drawing broadcast for 15 years along with Aggie Usedly and Darryl Wood, until they were replaced by an automated speaking machine in 2012.

Beth left the traffic news department so that she could have more time with her husband, who was the Cleveland Cavaliers play-by-play game announcer. She started a career as a weather forecaster in WOIO in Cleveland, spending almost 10 years working as a meteorologist, giving updates about the weather, and explaining the possible changes in the climate every day.

She is currently working as the resident meteorologist of Fox 8 News Channel in Cleveland.

Personal Life

She was married to Fred McLeod for 28 years before he passed away. They met during the NBA Finals when she was still working for CBS Sports – he found out that she wanted to try broadcasting, and was preparing an audition tape.

He help her create her videotape, and through the course of helping her one thing led to another. They started dating and were married in 1991. This was her first marriage and Fred’s second – he had three children with his former wife.

In September of 2019, her husband called her and said that he was not feeling well, and that he would drive himself from the golf course to the emergency room of the nearest hospital. She told him to pull over and just wait for the 911 team that she called to attend to him. That was the last time they were able to talk, as he died of a heart attack at the age of 67.

Beth is currently residing in Ohio, and still struggles with the pain of losing her husband. Her work in Fox 8 keeps her busy and helps her to move forward, but says in an interview that ‘There is a hole in my heart.’

Who is Fred McLeod?

Fred was born on 1 September 1952 in Strongsville, Cleveland, Ohio, to parents Fred McLeod Sr. and Marilyn McLeod. He spent most of his childhood in his hometown until his sophomore year, when his family transferred to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He matriculated from a local high school there, and then graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 1974 from Point Park University, previously known as Point Park College.

He was part of the baseball varsity team in college in the position of pitcher, as his team made it to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) World Series, the national association for small colleges in North America.

In 1974, he started his career in covering sports events at St. Joseph, Missouri for KQTV, then transferred to Steubenville, Ohio for WSTV. In 1979, he went back to Cleveland for WJKW-TV to be a sports presenter and a play-by-play announcer of the city’s baseball team, the Cleveland Indians. Impressed by his commentaries, Fred was offered a job in San Francisco, California doing the same thing for KPIX-TV covering the Oakland Athletics.

By 1980’s, WJBK was able to lure him back to the East by offering him a job in Detroit, Michigan as a sport presenter, and later he transferred to WDIV. In 1984, the NBA team the Detroit Pistons hired him to call their games, giving the play-by-play account of the games for many years until he received a call in 2006 from Dan Gilbert, the majority owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Apparently, Dan was his former intern at WDIV, who after getting his degree, bought back his mortgage company and eventually bought the NBA team. Fred was offered a job back in Ohio, and was apparently ecstatic with the opportunity to become the voice of his hometown’s basketball games. He did so until his death in 2019.

Interesting Facts

  • Beth asked for her husband’s body to be autopsied so his three children from his first wife would be informed of the cause of death, given that his relatives had a short life expectancy rate. Most of Fred’s relatives had died in their ‘50’s, and apparently the additional 10 years that Fred had was because of his healthy lifestyle. His artery problem was genetic.
  • Beth owns a pair of dogs to accompany her, and encourage her to live one day at a time.
  • She shares Fred’s story and her experience with the American Heart Association awareness program, to encourage people to go and consult a doctor.
  • She is active in her verified social media accounts. Her Twitter is @BethHMcLeod, Instagram is @bethmcleodfox8, YouTube is Beth McLeod, and Facebook is @BethHMcLeod.

Emily Compagno’s (Fox News) Biography – Husband, Salary

Published

on

Emily Compagno is an American lawyer, TV correspondent, and a former National Football League (NFL) cheerleader, who rose to prominence through her work as a Fox News Channel contributor.

Early Life and Family

Emily Rose Compagno is of part-Italian-American descent, born on 9 November 1979 at a Naval Hospital in Oak Knoll, California, USA to parents John and Katherine Compagno. She and her older sisters Natalie Compagno and Julietta Compagno Skoog were raised in El Cerrito, Contra Costa County in California. Her sister Natalie is a lifestyle influencer and blogs about the fashion industry with her blog entitled “LA Lifestyle,” and is married to Greg who owns a travel bookstore in California.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CCnkwH4pVL-/

Julietta has two daughters with husband Jon Skoog.

Emily is pretty close to her paternal grandparents, John and Josephine Bileci Compagno. Her maternal great grandfather was William Harry Bertsch whose wife’s name Rose and where Emily’s second name came from.

Education

She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Washington, and was awarded the Juris Doctorate degree in 2006 at the University of San Francisco.

Career

Legal Career

After completing an externship in the US Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit with Judge Noonan, and passing the California Bar exams, Emily started practicing law as a criminal defense and civil litigation attorney in a law firm based in the southern part of San Francisco.

She handled mostly non-violent juvenile and financially-motivated white-collar cases.

From 2010 to 2014, Emily also worked as a federal managing attorney, and was later promoted as Acting Director for the Social Security Administration. As a government attorney in one of the top agencies in the US, she was able to deal with a wide variety of civil and administrative legal cases, such as fraud, regulatory labor issues including employment contracts.

Team Captain, Oakland Raiderettes Cheerleading Squad

With her regular job as a lawyer, Emily also decided to fulfill her childhood dream of being a professional dancer, and applied for a spot in the football cheerleading squad with the Oakland Raiderettes, and joined the squad in April of 2007.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcvhO8MAptg

From an interview with SFGate she said, “I’ve been dancing since I was 3, so it’s natural to want that part of my life, the love of performing satisfied.” She did not see it as a substitute career; it just so happened that she did not have time to pursue this dream when she was in law school. It was something that complements her and served as an outlet of her love of performing.

From a regular cheerleader, she was promoted to be the team captain of the Oakland Raiderettes – it was classified as part-time work, but in reality, she said that the work they do for the team equates to a full-time commitment, even if most of the girls have a day job, so in the end, most of her spare time was allocated to cheerleading tasks.

She was included to perform during the NFL’s military tour in Iraq and Kuwait, as well as one of only four cheerleaders chosen to promote during the NFL China launch in Beijing and Shanghai.

Emily never broadcasts her cheerleading position when she is working as an attorney, and at the same time, she does not openly tell everyone in the cheerleading world that she is a practicing lawyer.

Fox News Contributor

All through her work as a civil litigator and a part-time cheerleader, she never lost focus on her ultimate dream of becoming a legal analyst, and that became a reality when Fox News Network offered her the dream job. Many were surprised at the change of career, as few were aware of her legal background, and only knew her as the cheerleading team captain.

With her diversified legal experience from being a criminal defense lawyer in a private firm and working as a federal attorney handling social security disputes, she was the perfect choice for becoming an on-air legal analyst on a variety of local and national issues. She started as a guest commentator on shows, asking for opinions from a business and legal analyst.

Later on, her in-depth experience in the world of football helped in doing sports commentaries. She also covered various other sporting events, particularly the PAC-12, in which universities vie for championship titles in several games. Even some sports magazines have acquired her expertise as a contributor.

Emily can be seen regularly in various shows such as “The Five,” “Fox and Friends: Weekend,” “The Greg Gutfeld Show,” and “Crimes That Changed America” on Fox News, Fox Business, and Fox Sports networks.

Personal Life

Emily was married to Peter Riley on 13 September 2017, in a secret wedding ceremony at the Hotel Villa Cimbrone in Italy. They met in high school in California, but it took about two decades to reconnect, when they saw each other again in Seattle and started dating. Little else is known about her husband except for the pictures she’s shared of their wedding day and the wedding ring photo that her husband accidentally left, as she posted on her Instagram account. Emily is so adamant about keeping her private and public life separate.

She and her husband are currently living in Seattle, Washington State.

Interesting Facts and Awards

  • She was given the US Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps’ Cadet of the Quarter Award during her college graduation ceremonies.
  • When she was pursuing her Juris Doctorate degree at the University of San Francisco, she worked as the editor for the Intellectual Property Bulletin as well as served as President of the Federalist Society.
  • She is a proud owner of a Doberman dog named Duchess.

  • Her volunteer work with orphans in the Southern African third world countries such as Malawi, Uganda and Zambia was an enriching experience that she would never forget.
  • During one of the episodes of “Fox & Friends: Weekend” with hosts Ed Henry and Pete Hegset, Emily became a fake bait when she visited Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst in New Jersey, a military dog training center for the US Army. She said that even if she had the biggest scare of her life, she knew that those dogs had intensive training and wouldn’t harm her intentionally.
