Early life and education
Midori was raised an only child in Rumson by her father who is a telecommunications engineer, and her mother who is teaching at a local high school. Midori became interested in acting at the age of nine, when her elementary school teacher asked her if she wanted to appear in a school play. Midori joined the school’s drama club, and from then on could have been seen in nearly all the plays performed at school. Midori launched her acting career when she appeared in the short drama film “Killing Machine” in 2015, directed and written by Tony Shtufaj and which starred Crystal Lee Peterson and Erika Vetter. In the following year, Midori guest starred as Lin in the episode “The Marshmallow Experiment” of the romantic comedy series “Younger”, which starred Sutton Foster, Miriam Shor and Hilary Duff, and which is about a single mother who pretends to be 26 years old after people keep telling her how young she looks – the film was nominated for 15 awards.
