From an early age, Foxx discovered that he had a sense of humor, and would tell jokes since he was a teenager. Nevertheless, in 1991 he made his acting debut as he joined the cast of the series “In Living Color”, while in 1992 he made his film debut in “Toys”, and the same year got the part of George in the TV series “Roc”. He struggled to make an impact until the mid- ‘90s when he got his own TV series “The Jamie Foxx Show”, which lasted from 1996 until 2001 over 100 episodes.

Jamie’s popularity improved in the early 2000s, with roles in films such as “Ali” (2001), in which he starred next to Will Smith and Jon Voight, then “Collateral” (2004), alongside Tom Cruise and Jada Pinkett Smith.
