Summer is being raised alongside her half-brother Max Liron Bratman, in Los Angeles by her mother and her fiancé Matthew Rutler, who have been together since 2012 – they became engaged in February 2014, but have not so far married – Max is Christine’s son from her marriage to the marketing executive Jordan Bratman, which lasted from 19 November 2005 to 2011.
Summer has just recently begun attending elementary school, and she has shown interest in music although her mother hasn’t forced it upon her – however, she has taken Summer to her recording studio on various occasions, to show her where her mother works. Christina Maria Aguilera was born in New York City, USA on 18 December 1980 – she is a singer, actress, songwriter and a TV personality, who has received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and has ranked #58 on the list of 100 Greatest Singers of All Time, compiled by the American monthly magazine “Rolling Stone” in 2008.
Christina was raised alongside her younger sister Rachel on Staten Island, by their mother Shelly Loraine Kearns who was a singer, and their father Fausto Xavier Aguilera who was a US Army soldier. Christina lived at several places around the US because of her father’s work, and has stated that Fausto was both emotionally and physically abusive – she was six when her parents divorced, and she and Rachel lived with their mother, who remarried and gave birth to their half-brother Michael.
Motivated by her mother who listened to soul and blues music, Christina won her first talent show when she was eight, singing the Whitney Houston’s song “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)”. She studied at Rochester Area School District followed by her enrollment at Marshall Middle School, and because she was later bullied at North Allegheny Intermediate High School, her mother started schooling her at home.

Christina has been interested in philanthropy since 2000, when she supported the program “Come on Over and Do Something”, which had the goal of encouraging children to help their communities. In December 2003, she donated $200,000 to the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, and to help those hit by the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, she donated her Chrysler 300 which was sold at auction.
